In light of the success of Opera’s mini-browser making it to the App Store , Mozilla has today submitted its own ‘browser’ for release to the iOS platform. Firefox Home is not really a browsers like Safari and the a fore mentioned Opera, but what it does is syncs your desktop bookmarks, history and tabs with your iPhone.

The Mozilla team are so confident that it will pass through Apple’s strict app approval process, that they are already promising a guide on how to set it up once it hits the App Store shelves. The mere fact that it will allow you to shit browsing sessions over to Safari will be looked apon favourably. However, this doesn’t draw away from the fact that it is still a ‘browser’ and competition to Apple’s own Safari.

iPhone 4 and 3G screens compared under the microscope
Never mind the suspicious yellow dots appearing on the iPhone 4 retina display. Here’s a look at what the folks at Penn State University get up to when they’re not doing homework.
PhD candidates, Ryan White and Bryan Gauntt found that the iPhone 3G pixels measured a mammoth 13 x 40 microns compared to it’s slender new relation, the iPhone 4 which sees the size of it’s pixels halved to 6.5 x 20 microns which adds up to four times as many pixels as the iPhone 3G has to offer, thus giving us the retina display that was shown off to much ‘oooos and ahhhhs at the WWDC the other week.

iPhone 4 Yellow Retina Display
Reports from a number of iPhone 4 users are coming in that their all new, shiny, shiny iPhone 4 with it’s awesome Retina Display doesn’t appear to be as awesome as first though.
The first batch of ‘self reviews’ are hitting the web and one complaint about the device seems to be about the Retina Display and the fact that there is some yellow colouration in the bottom of the IPS LCD screen. While we’ve not noticed this on any of the phones we have seen, maybe you’re having some different experiences? Let us know if you’re new iPhone 4 is leaving you a little yellow.

The official Twitter app is keeping up to speed with the rest of the app world by rolling out iOS 4 support. Now the app is able to run in the background meaning that you will now be able to see tweets while switching in and out of other apps. Better new, however is that you won’t have to relaunch the app every time you want to checkout the latest happening in your Twitter world. Retina Display friendly graphics are also a feature along with a more secure means of tweeting.

Oh, it’s the box of shiny, shiny! Yes the iPhone 4 has arrived at American discount store Walmart.

The first picture of a box, yes a box. Apple’s forth installment of their iPhone has been spotted at Walmart. It’s rumoured that the iPhone 4 has now hit all the major sellers, just in time for the official launch on Thurs. 24th June.

So, despite the crazy amount of folk who have had their iPhone 4 canceled and the trouble that plagued almost every Apple site & network carrier on the 15th of June for the pre-orders, it seems that there are a few very lucky folk out there who not only had there order processed and confirmed, but they may be getting their hallowed iPhone 4 a day before the general masses.

Apple have apparently, of course we could have typed this up ourselves, have been sending out notifications to some of those who ordered the iPhone 4 that it will be arriving on the 23rd of June. While they will have to wait until tomorrow to see if the iPhone arrives, this surely will have them salivating at the mere though of having an extra day to fondle their “precious”.
